    The campus in charge holds primary responsibility for the ongoing development, implementation and assessment of Al-Asr school’s curriculum. As part of the administrative team, the campus in charge plays a central role in the success of the school. The campus in charge also works closely with the Director of his or her school and other duties assigned by head office.

    Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a relentless drive to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of school
  • Research, design, and/or supplement the academic curriculum for all subjects and grades based on successful models and approaches
  • Align the academic curriculum with state standards, Al-Asr Schools standards, and other scientifically-based benchmarks
  • Document and communicate scope and sequence for each grade level
  • Monitor grade-level progress against scope and sequence benchmarks
  • Participate in the design and implementation of systems to assess student achievement
  • Generate and manage standardized test and internal assessment schedules, logistics, and reporting
  • Evaluate, approve, and purchase curricular materials such as textbooks
  • Observe and coach Teachers daily
  • Train and orient staff members according to Al-Asr curricular systems and key pedagogical issues
  • Ensure access to and participation in high-quality internal and external professional development for staff
  • Help teachers to develop instructional strategies and intervention programs that elevate achievement among struggling students
  • Participate in staff recruitment
  • Collaborate with the Head Office, Managing Director, Coordinator, Head Teacher, and other school staff to maximize the ability of Al-Asr Schools to support students’ academic and socio-emotional development
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Minimum Educational Level

    Master's Degree

    Experience preferred

    2+ years working in classrooms and coaching teachers, preferably in urban schools and/or communities.
